Il Pneumatico CONTINENTAL GRAND PRIX 5000 700c TubeType Souple è il successore del molto rinomato Grand Prix 4000S II. Il marchio tedesco ha progettato un prodotto utilizzabile sia in allenamento che in gara e sia su strada asciutta che bagnata.

Composto da tre strati, il Grand Prix 5000 è fatto per conciliare rendimento, grip e resistenza senza dimenticare il comfort. Per una tenuta di strada eccezionale, il pneumatico è progettato con la tecnologia Lazer Grip. Questo insieme di piccole strutture sul lato del pneumatico consente di avere la massima aderenza anche quando si inclina su strada bagnata. Per un rendimento ottimale, Continental ha rielaborato la sua tecnologia Black Chili. 

Per quanto riguarda il comfort e la resistenza, il GP 5000 utilizza l'Active Comfort che assorbe le vibrazioni e il Vectran Breaker che è progettato con fibre sintetiche e rende il pneumatico molto resistente alle forature con un peso controllato.
